IDTA Scotland were  delighted to bring you an informative teacher training day by IDTA Examiner Carl Walker member of the Contemporary Modern Jazz and Acro dance faculty.

 

IDTA launched these 2 NEW syllabi this year. The Contemporary Modern Jazz has cleverly interwoven contemporary dance through the existing structure of Modern Jazz work.

The new Acrobatic Dance Syllabus is pioneering as it houses dance throughout the learning of acrobatic skills. This one-day teacher training is open to all IDTA members and non-members. Teacher will gain an insight into the new work from Preparatory – Grade 2

*Please note this day did provide any formal teaching qualifications but IDTA members will be on hand to help you explore paths to gain accreditation and further your teaching career with the IDTA.

Andrew Chadwick Workshops

IDTA Scotland was delighted to bring you this workshop with the very in demand Andrew Chadwick.

Andrew Chadwick is a Musical Theatre Performer, teacher and choreographer from Blackpool. He trained at Phil Winstons Theatreworks in Blackpool and is a long-standing teacher and lecturer for IDTA schools around the country and the world. He has taught and choreographed from Germany to Spain and Portugal and as far away as China and Australia.

Andrew has a vast Experience in performing in musicals including performing lead roles such as ‘Rusty’ in ‘Starlight Express, ‘Mungojerry’ in ‘Cats’, ‘Bobby C’ in ‘Saturday Night Fever’, Dance captain in ‘Fame’ along with other theatre credits.

Andrew has also appeared in Disney’s recent Major Motion Picture Remake of ‘Beauty and the Beast’ where he danced the role of ‘Luminere’. He has just finished performing and playing the lead role in Disney’s hit musical ‘Tarzan’.

This jam-packed workshop will cover Commercial, Lifts, and Musical Theatre – ‘CATS’!

Sally Dennis provided Prep - G5 tap grade work and discussing the medal tests and rosettes.

The day was for any teacher interested in seeing and dancing the IDTA tap work or those needing to refresh their knowledge of the syllabus, Or maybe was are already qualified with a different examining body and looking to add to your qualifications.
